Max Avendir arrived at the site after he got the call. It was a dimly lit alley to the side of a liquor store. He saw the body laying there limp and lifeless, but not a drop of blood. Something was very wrong here, It wasn't a normal kill. It had to be done by something supernatural. Max walked over to the body, ducking under the police "do not cross" tape. He saw the police chief standing there with a sunken look on his face, as he motioned for max to check the body.

Max crouched down and ran his hand down the victims arm. The vision came to him instantly and he saw it all in split seconds. An imp like demonic looking creature, very gangly and wispy was controlling the body and as it lay lifeless, it appeared that the soul was being sucked out and put into a small cube-like box.

As instantly as the vision came it disappeared and a gust of wind gave a chill in the air. Max felt uneasy, like something was lurking, perhaps hiding in the shadows.

He walked over to the police chief and motioned him to come close. Max explained the vision and told him this was a job for none other than the task force. Max assured the chief that his force would get to the bottom of it.

Walking away, Max pulled out his phone and started punching numbers on the keypad. After a few rings, a voice answered. "Meet me at the coffee shop in 30. We need to talk. Something's come up and I'm gonna need the task force at hand. Get them all to come down. See you in 30."

Max hung up the phone and began to walk down the city block, turning and looking behind him every few minutes. He felt like someone was following him, but it wasn't a someone it was a something.

((OOC: Anyone of you guys can jump in and be the one Max was calling and speaking to. I didn't use names so as to leave it open ended.))

Claes walked quickly down the sidewalk, his cup of coffee leaving a distinct trail of steam in the cool evening air. Red and blue lights ahead as he fished his phone out of his pocket and answered it one handed after checking the caller info.

"Tja! On my way, I caught the call on my scanner. I'll visit the scene first and see you in a moment."

He cut the call and dropped it into his pocket again, taking a last sip of his coffee before setting the cup onto the hood of a police car. Fishing his credentials out of his pocket, Claes flashed them to an officer and ducked under the cordon. There was precious little to see and he left again, grabbing his coffee and fishing out his phone again. He made the calls at he walked, barely allowing a word in with the exception of an acknowledgement before moving to the next on the list. As the last task force member was contacted he walking into the coffee shop, dumping his now empty cup of brew into the trash and nearly tossing himself into the seat across from Max.

Max heard the bell ont he door ring and looked over, seeing Claes walk in and come sit at the table.

"Yo, Claes, what a day I've had. There's a new case we just gotta take, but I'll inform when everyone gets here. Lets just say I have a feeling this is the big one and its gonna be a doozy of case, but what's up with you?"

As he finished his last word and the waitress walked by, Max snapped his fingers. "Hey, be a doll and get me a double espresso and make it snappy. I have a feeling I'll be up all night."

With that, he turned back to Claes before he could answer the first question and he asked another. "So you didn't feel anything strange when you got to the coffee shop did you? I mean I think some sort of thing was following me here. I couldn't be certain, but I felt its presence. Oh and you did tell everyone to meet us here, right? Cause there late and we need to get down to business."

At that moment the waitress put Max's espresso on the table. He snatched it up the second she put it in front of him and he took a sip. Ah, how Max loved his espresso.

Thomas walked into the the coffee shop. They always met here when something had happened, it was sort of like a tradition. He saw Max and Claes, and walked over to them. He had his hands in his pockets - he had forgotten to pick up his gloves - so he nodded. "It's good to see you," he said in his British accent, "I'm sorry I have to be so informal, but it appears that I never picked up my gloves as I left the house.
As he sat down, he got the waitresses attention, "Excuse me?" he asked her, "Would it be possible for you to get me a cup of tea? Thank you."
Thomas turned his attention to Max and Claes, "Have the girls not arrived?" he asked.

Claes leaned forward onto the table, not bothering to get a fresh coffee yes as the taste of the cheap gas station brew was still fresh on his tongue. He nodded as Thomas sat down and then shook his head in response to the question. he then turned his attention back to Max.

"Keeping busy between jobs. PI stuff, you know. As for feelings, I might have dismissed it as simple paranoia, I've sure as hell made some enemies, but then you brought it up. But yeah, there's something."

He caught the waitresses eye and gestured that he wanted one of what Max was drinking.

"I called everyone after I stopped by the scene, think I may be early though. As for my thoughts on it, I'll wait until everyone is here."

Max looked at Thomas and back to Claes, as he sipped the espresso.

"No one but us has arrived yet. By the way Thmoas, you didn't feel anything on your way here did you? i was telling Claes that I felt like i was being followed by something. And whatever has been following me is probably waiting for me out there."

He stared into his espresso cup noticing he was just about finished with it, then he bolted up when his phone vibrated in his pocket. He took it out and loked at it and picked it up. It was police chef Hardy.

"Mmmmhhhhmmmm. Interesting. That's odd. Sure I'll be right down."

Max hung up and looked at the two. "Uh, guys, we got some issues. That was Hardy on the line. The god damn corpse is reanimating itself. Well not the corpse itself, but something is down there right now doing it. This isn't no run of the mill murder. It's those fucking hell minions. I was saying i felt like i was followed and sure enough these fuckers waited for me to be far enough from the scene before they stared doing their dirty work. we gotta stop this shit at once."

That being said he picked up his phone and dialed a few numbers, obviously calling the girls and informing them to just meet up at the site. "we better get our asses in gear if we wanna stop this before shit hits the fan."

Max swallowed down the rest of the espresso, got up and headed straight for the door. He turned back as Claes and Thomas were behind him.

"Who's driving?"

"I will. The police may be a little more understanding if I'm the one driving like a nekulturny bastard, if you'll excuse my Russian."

Claes threw some change on the table and smoothly intercepted the waitress for his drink. He fished his keys out and cut left after exiting the building. Overtaking Max, he slid into the drivers seat of his car and had it in gear by the time the other shad arrived. The drive was part of the reason he offered, the other part being that, as always, he had his rifle locked in the trunk. Flipping open the glove box, he grabbed a pair of spare magazines and dropped them into his coat pocket.

"Are we all ready? Someone should update the rest of the team on the situation."

When Khem received the initial vague call to head over to the coffee, interrupting her daily jog around Robin Memorial Park, she groaned at Claes, albeit agreeing to arrive. Abandoning her workout, she made it to the bike rack, unhitched her bike and cycled back to her apartment to quickly snatch up her knife, gun and badge. Her holster had just clipped into place when her phone rang again, this time from Max.

She gave pause, dreading a conversation with him, no matter how brief, and let the phone buzz for a long few moments before plucking it up. “What’s even going on? You haven’t fucking told us anything!” She hissed into her phone and snapped it shut, not waiting for an answer. Like Max would give one anyway. He had a way of not recognizing that his teammates sort of needed information on shit before they waltzed off to do his bidding. He and Claes were rubbing off on each other. She grunted as she shouldered open her door, heading out onto the street again and hopping on her bike.

The ride over to the crime scene Max very briefly described only proved a breeding ground for her growing aggravation at having her workout cut short for no reason she knew of. By the time she leaned her bike against the building on the right alley wall, she was fuming. Claes, Thomas and Max arrived via the former’s car, and she began to approach when a commotion in the alley caught her attention.

Thomas walked up to the cashier, and asked if his tea could be put into a cup. The woman handed him his tea, and he took it, and put a lid on it, making sure not to let him touch her. "Cheers," he said to the cashier, and then jogged to the car.

When Claes asked if anyone could ring the rest of the team, he offered, "Sure, I'd be happy to tell 'em," he said, already dialing one of their numbers. Thomas walked into the car whilst on the phone, telling the rest of the team to meet at the crime scene.

Buzz…..buzz….buzz…

Slowly the phone rattled its way over the nightstand, humming over half-finished sheet music and a demonology book carelessly left open. It danced along the edge, dutifully sounding out over and over, despite being blatantly ignored by its owner. Finally, it toppled over, pulling the stack of papers and an empty bottle onto the lump under the covers. Groaning and muttering angry threats under his breath, the ebony-haired man poked his head out from under the blanket and groped about for the device, scattering papers and books onto the floor in the process. Once firmly in his grasp, he brought the obnoxiously bright screen to his face and squinted blearily at it for a few seconds before the upside-down letters on it made sense. Sighing, he tapped the call button. After getting the brief message from Claes, he grunted a response, probably something along the lines of "Be there in a few." and ended the call.

Sighing, he mustered the strength to sit up. What time was it? Probably late, judging by the light filtering through the blinds. The night owl yawned and stretched before sliding out of bed and starting a quickened version of his routine- dressing, cleaning up, giving his snakes fresh water and searching for the keys he swore he just had in his hands. Before long, he was out the door, starting up his one-eyed red jeep and heading out to the meeting place. He was about halfway when he got another call telling him they were heading to the scene already. He checked his watch. It had been about fifteen minutes since he was told to meet them at the cafe- impatient much? He rolled his eyes, but gave confirmation, memorizing the address before hanging up. He stopped into the coffee shop anyway, then headed out to the scene, steaming cafe breve in hand as his aged vehicle rattled down the road.

Aela opened her cell phone and called her mother in Sweden. Unfortunately, due to time difference, her mother's cell phone was on hold. "....Please leave a message after the beep." Aela paused and then continued with a short sentence."Hello mother, I have reached America safety, rest assured. I will miss you and father, goodbye." At the same time, the Taxi stopped moving. "Heya miss, we have arrived at your destination, that would be 52 dollars, please." Aela just nodded and hand over the money to the taxi driver and headed outside. After taking her baggage from the taxi trunk, she took a good look at the headquarter, the entrance have a big metal gate with a transmission radio on the right. Aela proceed to the radio and pressed the button. "Good evening, my name is Aela Shurelya and I was invited to this address..?" There was a paused before someone behind the radio replied her. "...a minute, miss... Aela...Aela...Ae.. yes, you are on the list, please proceed to the entrance and enter at the left small door, not the big one." The metal gate opened itself and Aela walked in to the left door as instructed. She open the door and immediately greeted by a big receptionist desk, an older women was sitting there still doing her paper job without even looking at Aela. Aela walked towards the old lady. "..uhmm.. good evening and excuse me, can you please forward me to Mr..." as she reached out to her front pocket of her lab coat to take out the contact information. "...Mr Max Avendir..?" The older women took a quick glance and continued her paper work. Then she opened her lips, "I am sorry but, Mr Max have headed to the crime scene to examine a victim to a potentially supernatural cause."

Aela's eyes suddenly burned with passion. "Can I know where is the crime scene? I might be of some help to Mr Max." The older women just take another look at Aela and saw her medical bag. "A medic? Alright, I guess you might be able to help him with the victim's autopsy, here is the address and map for it." Carrying her surgery bag, she went to call for a taxi and headed her way to the crime scene. As she reached closer to her destination, Aela saw people running the opposite direction form where is about to go, she immediately stopped the cab to see what is going on. As she walked towards the crime scene, she felt an uneasy feeling and decided to hide behind some building near the crime scene. Aela saw something that was unnatural, some unidentified creature holding up a human body and flinging it around recklessly. Shots were fired by police officers behind their police car but to avail, it does nothing to those creatures. Aela doesn't know what to do and thus, just waiting to see what will happen next.

They drove to the scene speeding down the city streets, swerving to avoid cars and pedestrians alike. They screeched to a halt and were barely parked, as Max threw open the door and quickly ducked under the police tape, glancing a nod at Hardy and then went straight to the body. Not a creature could be seen but the body was moving and pulsating. Max walked over to the body and ran his hand down the corpse's arm.

It was as if a bomb exploded in Max's brain and he saw the vision. It was a hell spawn, crouched over the body, mouthing some words in the language of hell. They weren't audible to the naked ear, but as the vision flowed through Max, he was able to hear every last syllable articulated clearly. He didn't know what it all meant, but he gathered it was a reanimation ritual, to bring the body back from the dead.

Max knew from previous findings that once the reanimation ritual was performed, the hellspawn would take over the body, using it fore purposes of whatever hellish deed needed doing.

He turned over and called out to the team that was there, as his hand was still on the corpse's arm. this allowed him to go back and see the rest of the vision anytime he wanted, which let him know how far along the reanimation ritual was.

"Get over here pronto, we got a demon fucker trying to bring this poor sap back from the dead. This needs to be stopped right now or else we've got hellspawn on our hands walking the city."

Max motioned for the team to come over and he took a step back, letting his crew come in a take a crack at helping stop the ritual before it got any worse.

Ren pulled into the scene to see a the other members of SIN gathering around the body. It seemed speeding had paid off, provided one of those damned street cameras doesn't make the city ticket him. He slammed the rest of his espresso before killing the engine, then fished around the jeep for his things. Once everything was in order, he kicked the door open and got out, stopping to discretely slide a pistol into its holster at the small of his back before heading towards his coworkers, messenger bag in tow. Pale eyes examined the area, attempting to note anything that may be of use. Disappointingly, the area looked normal- at least from a general sweep. So, he instead focused on turning his other senses towards the case. With practiced ease, he let up the guard he typically had over his abilities; in an instant, his body was alive with power, a slight shudder rolling down his spine.

A couple of moments later, he was able to tell that there was a tormented spirit in the area- a new one at that. Not unusual for a crime scene. However, the chill that washed over him and heavy weight that fell into the pit of his stomach told him whatever it was, it was also very, very active. He approached cautiously, keeping an outward calm as he called out to his teammates. "What have we got?" He asked as he flicked a few stray locks of hair over his shoulder, stormy eyes falling to the corpse. It was then that his head began to swim, forcing him to shut his eyes tightly as he fought for a sense of balance. Then they started- the voices. It began as a whisper, then quickly escalated to a wail. Pain, fear, and rage ran rampant through his mind as the spirit of the dead man cried out. "Damn..." He managed to mutter, as he unconsciously raised his fingers to rub at his temples. Another wave of that ice-cold sensation crept over him, his skin tingling in response as his gut clenched. He could not help but sink down to one knee, all of his attention on attempting to control the flood of information assaulting him. There had to be something of use in the jumble- he didn't want to go through this hell to come out empty-handed.

Claes slid out of his seat a heartbeat after Max, rolling up his coat sleeve and pulling a knife from his belt. Joining the task forces leader again, he drew the blade across the back of his left forearm with nothing more than a clench of his jaw. The cut bled freely onto the ground and he used a finger to draw a Circle on the ground around the body.

"Salt would work better I suppose but I think we're on a time table. With any luck this should keep it here and if not..."

He wiped his hand and knife on the victims clothing, leaving enough for him to track by it it got away. Clasping a hand over the still bleeding wound, he jogged back to the car and pulled a first aid kit from the trunk, slapping a dressing over the cut before returning and drawing his pistol.
